A research desk for NSE equities — built to disprove its own signals.
Screens the Indian market on a fixed schedule, layers fundamentals, technicals and confirmation overlays into one score, and shows you the working. Where the data is missing it says N/A — it does not guess.

What it actually does
Scheduled scans
Four rules run every five minutes through the NSE session, each over its own universe. Results are cached and timestamped, so you always see when a signal was produced.
Layered scoring
Fundamentals filter first, then technical signals, then confirmation overlays — blended into a single score with the components shown, not hidden.
Honest gaps
Missing or stale data is labelled. Point-in-time fundamentals prevent look-ahead. A rule that cannot be evaluated returns nothing rather than a fabricated number.
Proof state
Every rule carries its own status: backtested, out-of-sample tested, forward-tested. A passing backtest alone is explicitly not treated as proof.
What it does not do
- It does not place orders. Execution is disabled in the codebase, not just the UI.
- It does not manage money, take custody of funds, or accept deposits.
- It does not give personalised advice — it has no idea who you are.
- It does not claim an edge. See Methodology for what is and is not validated.
Questions
What is NSE Desk?
NSE Desk is a free research tool that screens Indian (NSE) equities on a five-minute schedule during market hours. It combines a fundamentals filter, multi-timeframe technical rules and confirmation overlays into a single score, and shows the components behind that score. It is an educational research tool, not an advisory service.
Is NSE Desk investment advice?
No. Everything published is general information for educational purposes. The operator is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, and outputs are unvalidated research candidates rather than recommendations to buy or sell.
How often do the signals update?
Scheduled scans run every five minutes on a clock-aligned grid through the NSE session (09:15 to 15:30 IST), plus a settle window after the close. Every signal carries the timestamp of the scan that produced it.
Does NSE Desk place trades?
No. Trade execution is disabled in the software itself, not merely hidden in the interface. The site does not connect to a broker for order placement, hold securities, or accept funds.
What happens when data is missing?
The affected field shows N/A. Missing or stale inputs are labelled rather than filled with a substituted value, and a rule that cannot be evaluated returns nothing instead of a fabricated number.
Are the strategies proven profitable?
No. Most rules sit at 'candidate' status. A rule is only treated as evidenced after it survives out-of-sample walk-forward testing and then forward testing on data that did not exist when the rule was written. A passing backtest alone is explicitly not treated as proof.
Is NSE Desk free to use?
Yes. The signal panels, screener and backtest views are free and require no account or sign-up.
For educational and informational purposes only — NOT investment advice. Outputs are unvalidated research candidates, not trade recommendations. Trade execution is disabled by design. See the full disclaimer.
